VRC ROOSEVELT

November 2024

On November 23rd, 2024, Teams 359C, 3590C, and 3590B arrived at Roosevelt High School ready to rumble!

TEAM COLLABORATIONS

A moment of team collaboration was when someone needed a pneumatic valve and to borrow an air pump and 3590C was thankfully able to help them. Knowing the importance of helping others. We are so proud of them for living according to the principles of VEX: Teamwork!

TOURNAMENT RESULTS AND CELEBRATIONS

As qualification matches ended, alliance selection began, determining the teams advancing to the Elimination rounds. 3590C paired with 316W as the 5th seed, 3590B paired with 84141B as the 7th seed, and 359C paired with 3685C as the 12th seed. 359C was unfortunately eliminated in the round of 16, and 3590B in the quarterfinals. 3590C pushed into the semifinals, where they were also defeated.

INTENSE MATCHES

The Roosevelt High School event was a remarkable gathering of 26 teams from various parts of the island, fostering a vibrant atmosphere filled with anticipation. Each participant was eager to showcase their skills and partake in a spirited competition. As teams challenged themselves on the skills and competition fields, the venue was alive with tangible energy—an extraordinary experience that left a lasting impression on everyone involved. Simultaneously, our fellow teammates were in Japan, exploring the country and appreciating its cultural treasures.

ALLIANCE SELECTIONS

The eventful day came to an end. Team 3590C secured an impressive 8th place with a score of 5-3-0 (win-loss-tie). Team 359B followed, capturing the 14th spot with a score of 5-3-0, and Team 359BC claimed 24th place, with a record of 2-6-0. We are so proud of everyone's accomplishments and hard work. Although we didn't emerge as the ultimate champions, the lessons, experiences, and memories we've gained from this tournament are far more valuable. These cherished moments will remain etched in our hearts for a lifetime.

TEAM ARRIVAL AND PREPARATION

The enthusiasm was palpable as teams 359C, 3590B, and 3590C reached Roosevelt High School for a spirited competition. They quickly set up their pits and readied their robots for the crucial inspection. Once each team had successfully cleared this phase, they shifted their focus to perfecting their robots' performance and capabilities, applying final adjustments to guarantee optimal functioning. It was an exhilarating environment for our young competitors.

LOOKING AHEAD

Teams 359C, 3590B, and 3590C would like to express their immense gratitude for the opportunity to participate at Roosevelt High School. We want to give a special thank you to our mentors who always show up to support us when we need it. See us compete again on December 15th at Nanakuli High School!
