Day 23
It was a fruitful day for students as they diligently worked on their respective tasks. The Control Systems team embarked on the process of wiring the robot and refining the code for various subsystems. Having identified issues with the first robot, the Construction Team shifted their focus to redesigning the problematic components for the upcoming competition robot. This proactive approach allowed them to address the shortcomings of the initial design and ensure that the next iteration would be even more robust and reliable. The Business, Media, and Documentation Team continued their steadfast efforts, honing their First Impact Award submission and meticulously curating daily articles and images for the team’s website. With more enthusiasm than ever, we are so excited to see what comes next!
Day 24
As the second day of week 4 unfolded, the Construction team remained steadfast in their pursuit of excellence. Their diligent work centered on identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic adjustments. Through meticulous analysis and innovative problem-solving, they designed and crafted new components to address any deficiencies, ensuring the robot’s peak performance. In parallel, the Control Systems team achieved remarkable progress in wiring the robot, meticulously connecting each component to create a seamless network of functionality. Their expertise extended to the realm of programming, where they devoted themselves to crafting code that would bring the robot to life with precision and intelligence.
Day 25
Nearing the halfway mark of week 4 of Build Season, the Control Systems team powered through in wiring the robot, connecting cable after cable making sure it connects perfectly to each part of the robot. The Construction team continued machining parts, along with adjusting new assembled parts onto the main frame of the robot. The Business, Media, and Documentation students have been busy working on quickly updating the website, posting on our YouTube and Social Media, along with FIA practice. Each student continues to work diligently as we work through Week 4!
Day 26
At the midpoint of week four, our team remains steadfast in our resolve to excel and persevere until the very last moment! The Constriction students have initiated the process of powder coating for the final robot. The Control Systems subteam has maintained their focus on refining their subsystem code and ensuring the robot’s overall functionality. Business, Media, and Documentation students have been diligently working behind the scenes capturing photos and videos, and ensuring all documentation is up to date before starting the end of week recap!
Day 27
On day 27 of the Build Season, our team’s momentum continues to accelerate as we tackle new challenges. The Control Systems team has successfully completed the wiring of our practice robot and has now shifted their focus to testing various shooting methods to optimize performance. Meanwhile, the Construction team is diligently making adjustments to our final design, leveraging insights gained from testing with the practice robot. In an exciting development, our new team members have had the opportunity to learn and apply powder coating techniques, contributing to the finishing touches of our competition robot’s parts. The Business, Media, and Documentation (BMD) team has finalized the Woodie Flowers Award essay. This effort allows us to honor one of our esteemed mentors, spotlighting his dedication and impact on our team. By nominating him for recognition at a regional event, we not only celebrate his contributions but also reinforce the values of mentorship and leadership within the FIRST community. As we progress through the Build Season, these achievements underscore our team’s collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence, setting a solid foundation for our success in the upcoming competitions.
