HAWAII REGIONAL
MARCH 2025
At last, we competed at our home regional, the Hawaii Regional, for Week 4 of FRC competitions. 33 teams worldwide competed alongside us. We were happy to share our aloha by hosting three off-island teams and offering our practice fields and facilities!
QUALIFICATION MATCHES
On the second day, we kicked off the opening ceremonies and jumped right into the qualification matches! Our team partnered up with two other teams, forming alliances to go head-to-head with our opponents. We used data from our scouts to devise strategies and counter our rivals, making every match an exciting challenge. Through teamwork and adaptation, we effectively tackled each match, earning points along the way. Between matches, we reflected on our performance, made necessary adjustments to our robot and strategy, and continued to gather scouting data for future matches. After the qualification matches, we proudly ranked 3rd place with a 9-3-0 record, eagerly preparing for the alliance selection process.
FINALS
During the competition, we teamed up with alliance partners to come up with game plans before each match. We looked at data from previous matches and used it to create smart strategies against our opponents. It was a huge honor when the 4270, Crusaders, chose us to join their 1st seed alliance. Together, we decided to bring 4817, One Degree North, on board, creating a strong alliance! We played with them in match 56 and their robot died. After the match, we helped them fix their issue. In their last match, we watched them, and their robot worked the whole time! Because of that, we decided to choose them in the playoffs! With lots of determination and teamwork, we faced every challenge head-on and won the 2025 Hawaii Regional! We couldn't have done it without our amazing mentors and the support of all the other incredible teams. Everyone brought their A-game, and we're so thankful for the chance to compete alongside such awesome, dedicated people. It was an unforgettable experience!
CELEBRATING TEAM SPIRIT
Throughout the tournament, we were glad to help teams when they needed parts or our practice coral. A moment of team spirit was in between matches when everyone got up to dance to YMCA among other songs. Members from several teams went up to dance together and built memories that last a lifetime.
ALLIANCE SELECTIONS
The finals were an absolute Hawaiian rollercoaster ride! We went up against an impressive alliance in a couple of heart-pounding matches. The first one was super close, but we managed to pull off a 189 to 138 win. The second match had us on the edge of our seats too, but we came out on top with a score of 196 to 85! Our entire alliance totally rocked it with their amazing teamwork and skills – we couldn't have done it without them!
IMUA WAIALUA
It is our honor to engage with remarkable individuals and teams, gaining invaluable knowledge and seeing familiar faces. We anticipate our collective growth as a team, continued progress, and accumulation of wisdom. We are grateful to be able to compete at the upcoming Idaho Regional from March 26th to March 29th, we are excited to see what's in store for us!
