Week Three

Aloha! Welcome to the third week of the 2025 REEFSCAPE Build Season!

Check out our Week 3 Recap on YouTube!

Day 16

We’re back and it's the start for Week 3 of Build season! The Control Systems worked on wiring the practice robot making sure that everything works for when it's time to wire the competition robot. The Construction team continued to make more parts for both of the robots, while our other construction team got their hands dirty finishing up the practice field by sanding the pipes for the coral. The Business, Media, and Documentation took more video clips, finalized the Week 2 Recap Video, and took all the photos and videos for the day. We can’t believe it's Week 3 already, and we’re excited for what else is going to come for us!

Day 17

Today our subteams were extremely busy! Our Control Systems continues wiring the practice robot and assembling it for the future competition robot. The Construction Team started finishing up the practice field, painting the coral, and started on revisioning changes on the practice robot for the final competition robot. The Business, Media, and Documentation team took all the photos and video clips for the day and continued to work on updating our website. We are thrilled with what else Week 3 will bring us and we are excited for the rest of Build Season!

Day 18

Happy Birthday to our Founder and Lead Mentor, Glenn Lee! Despite this, our subteams continued working hard for the day! Our Control systems started the day testing the camera detection sensors and the different subsystems of the robot, calibrated the drive train, finished wiring the practice robot, and started testing it on the practice field. The Construction team got their hands extra dirty assembling the coral structure and attached the cage to the barge. The Business, Media, and Documentation team documented everything that happened for the day. We end the day eating cake after all our hard work and can't wait for tomorrow!

Day 19

It’s already Day 19 and the subteams were hard at work! The Control Systems started preparing set positions, making sure it can hold that set position, making batteries to fit the robot sub elements, and testing the swerve drive of the robot. The Construction subteam started the day with making the robot crate. The Business, Media, and Documentation team held a Impact award exchanges, took more photos and videos, and took some of the clips and started editing for the Week 3 Recap Video. We ended our day with a bang and are euphoric, we can’t wait for what else this week 3 challenges us with!

Day 20

We can’t believe it's halfway through Week 3 for build season! The Control systems spent the day working on the scoring factor for the robot, testing the set positions to score faster, and making driving more capable. The Construction subteam continued to make more parts for the robot, beginning to finalize it for this week, and finished making the bumpers for the practice robot. The Business, Media, and Documentation team took more clips to continue editing the Week 3 Recap video, and documented the pictures and videos for the day. Despite the challenges facing us for this week, we remain determined and committed!

Day 21

By day Twenty-One, our day has made a long hard working progression! Today our lead mentor, Glenn Lee, showed Team 7724: Molokai Robotics our robotics workshop and STEM center. The Control systems continued working on set positions for robot scoring, and on wiring more of the electrical elements. The Constructions team worked with their hands, making spare robot parts, using the water jet to cut out parts, and finishing up the robot crate while other construction students were teaching newer students how to handle the machines. The Business, Media, and Documentation continued to collect different clips and edit our Week 3 Recap Video, taking all the videos and photos for today's hard work. As the day comes to an end, we celebrate with a good pizza slice and are determined for the challenges facing us tomorrow!

Day 22

It’s Day 22 and Week 3 is coming to an end! The Control Systems tested the coding of the different states of the robot, fixed the visual systems of the robot camera, tested the positioning and sequence commands, worked on the batteries, and adjusted the functions for the best results. The Construction team used the water jet to continue making spare parts, and also fine tuning the CAD for the competition robot. The Business, Media, and Documentation team collected the different clips from the week, are finalizing the Week 3 Recap Video, and took all the photos and videos from the day. As the day comes to an end, we can’t wait for what Week 4 will bring to us!
